Dedicated Internet Access: This service provides 1.5 megabits per second capacity for uploading and downloading data from the Internet. It will require additional hardware to connect it to your LAN or servers. This service can meet the needs of most business applications.

Integrated Service: Integrated service does all of the above and it can provide you with the cost advantages of dedicated services even though you may not be using enough of any one service to cost justify a full T-1 service. T-1 Technicalities :

A T-1 is a digital transmission link that operates at 1.544 Mbps. It consists of 24 Digital Signal level (DS0) channels, each carrying 64 Kbps. Pool your resources :

Instead of having one telephone number per line, trunks allow you much more flexibility. Multiple phone numbers can be directed to a single trunk group, or a single phone number can be directed to multiple trunks. Trunks also permit hunting - that is, they can be arranged so that incoming calls to a busy trunk will overflow to the next available trunk.You may opt for a special trunking arrangement called Direct Inward Dial (DID) circuit termination, a group share facility that delivers individual station extension numbers, permitting incoming calls from the exchange network to bypass the attendant and reach a specific person directly and quickly. As a general rule, ten station numbers share one trunk. Digits are sent to the PBX so it knows which extension will receive the call.

One-way, two-way, your way:

Depending on your calling patterns, four types of trunks are available from Cynergycomm.net: outgoing, incoming, incoming/DID, and two-way. The higher your volume of calls external to your business, the more network trunks you may require. For example, if you have a catalog sales office, you would want a majority of your trunks to have DIDs and receive incoming calls only.
